Job Summary

Experience Level: Mid-level Software Development (3+ years).

We are seeking a Business Application Developer to build, enhance, and support custom business applications. This role blends traditional software development with low-code platforms such as Retool and ToolJet. The ideal candidate has strong programming fundamentals, experience with RESTful APIs, and the ability to independently learn and troubleshoot unfamiliar systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain business applications using tools like Retool and ToolJet
• Write custom application logic using Python and others like JavaScript
• Integrate systems using RESTful APIs and third-party services
• Work with SQL databases to design queries and data models
• Participate in requirements gathering and solution design
• Test, debug, and support production applications, whether personally developed or developed by others
• Document systems and provide user and internal training
• Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in software/application development
• Hands-on experience integrating RESTful APIs
• Strong SQL and relational database fundamentals
• Demonstrated problem-solving and debugging ability
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Clear written and verbal communication skills

Preferred / Value-Add Skills

• Python (highly valued)
• JavaScript
• Experience with AWS (e.g., Lambda, S3, RDS, or similar services)
• Familiarity with low-code platforms (Retool, ToolJet, or comparable tools)
• Experience supporting cloud-hosted production systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
