Business Consultant With Energy & Utility Market Experience In Ireland

Senior Business Consultant – Energy & Utilities Sector (Ireland) - Hybrid

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Consultant to support our key customers in the Utility and Energy sector. This role focuses on business and market regulations, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency in a complex implementation.

Your Role

As a Business Consultant, you will act as the bridge between business and IT, working closely with customers, internal project teams, and service delivery teams. Your responsibility is to ensure the successful adoption of an ERP solution by aligning business needs with functional requirements. You will provide market expertise and regulatory guidance to both internal consultants and client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a business-focused analyst, translating customer needs into functional requirements.
  • Manage customer expectations and collaborate with functional experts.
  • Attend workshops and meetings with the customer on-site.
  • Provide feedback to product development, sales, and marketing teams to improve the solution.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the standard ERP solution for the energy and utilities sector.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, sales, pre-sales, product, and project delivery teams.
  • Participate in project progress meetings and proactively identify risk areas.
  • Deliver high-quality consulting services to both new and existing customers.
  • Work with internal consultants to align with industry best practices.
  • Develop expertise in the energy market of Ireland (ROI & NIE) and share knowledge with colleagues.

What You Bring

  • Strong analytical skills (Master’s degree or equivalent experience).
  • In-depth knowledge of the energy market in Ireland (ROI & NIE).
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Business/Functional Consultant
  • Expertise in business process management and identifying business requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • A dynamic team player with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and quality-driven.
  • Customer-focused, adaptable to fast-paced environments.
