The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development Executive to support Mitsubishi Electric’s defense business across the Asia Pacific region. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, supporting regional sales activities, and facilitating strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in geopolitical affairs, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Business development and sales support for Mitsubishi Electric’s Defense & Space business across the Asia-Pacific region, including identifying new opportunities and partnerships.
• Manage and support products such as radar, command & control (C2), electronic warfare (EW), satellite imagery, and optical & infrared systems for defense and military applications.
• Independently research and assess defense and space markets, policies, and procurement environments in Asia-Pacific.
• Organize and support defense industry events, exhibitions, and related activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues and partners in Japan and Asia-Pacific on overall strategy, planning, and operational support.

Requirements:

• 2–3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in international relations, government-facing (B2G) business development, or related fields.
• Prior exposure to heavy industry, defense, or space-related equipment is an advantage.
• Strong interest in geopolitical and international security affairs.
• Understanding of foreign diplomacy, government processes, and cross-cultural business dynamics.
• Excellent command of English with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-motivated team player who is mature, independent, and resourceful.
