We are now launching a Canadian Mortgage Leads Division and are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager with deep knowledge of the Canadian mortgage industry to help build and scale this new vertical.
Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for launching and growing our Canadian mortgage leads business by acquiring mortgage brokers, lenders, and mortgage companies as clients.
This role requires someone with strong industry relationships, a deep understanding of the Canadian mortgage ecosystem, and the ability to sell high-quality digital leads and consumer inquiries to mortgage professionals.
The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, highly driven, and excited to build a division from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities Business Development
- Identify, prospect, and onboard mortgage brokers, lenders, and mortgage companies across Canada to purchase consumer mortgage leads.
- Conduct high-volume outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn to generate new client relationships.
- Develop and manage a strong pipeline of mortgage companies interested in purchasing leads.
- Present Consumer Genius lead products, pricing, and value proposition to potential clients.
Industry Relationship Building
- Build strong long-term partnerships with mortgage brokers, brokerages, and lending institutions.
- Leverage existing industry relationships to accelerate division growth.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities when appropriate.
Division Growth
- Help build the Canadian Mortgage Leads Division from the ground up.
- Provide market feedback to leadership on pricing, lead quality, and buyer demand.
- Collaborate with internal marketing and media buying teams to scale lead generation based on client demand.
Performance & Revenue
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales and revenue targets.
- Maintain strong client retention and ensure ongoing lead purchasing.
- Monitor client performance and optimize lead distribution strategies.
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in the Canadian mortgage industry (mortgage brokerage, lender, or mortgage sales).
- Strong understanding of the Canadian mortgage market, broker networks, and lead purchasing models.
- Proven track record in sales, business development, or account management.
- Experience selling digital leads, marketing services, or financial products is a strong asset.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and comfortable working in a fast-growth environment.
Preferred Experience
- Existing relationships with Canadian mortgage brokers and brokerages.
- Experience buying or selling mortgage leads or marketing services.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and outbound sales tools.
- Experience using LinkedIn for prospecting and outreach.

Pay: $50,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
