JOB DESCRIPTION: ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE (BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE)
We are looking for an experienced individual to generate new business opportunities. This person Is a self-starter that thrives in a rapid-growth and high velocity environment with a demonstrated track record of success in a full sales cycle role.
This hunter will be actively cultivating and qualifying leads and relationships with retailers and brands of all sizes, both domestically and internationally. There are clear portfolio and prospecting assignments. If you are interested in inside sales, consumer products, and selling for a category leader, this is the position for you!

QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- 3+ years of experience in B2B sales
- Demonstrated results in new business development
- Strong organizational skills, strong attention to detail skills, and the ability to effectively utilize our CRM tool
- An ability to multi-task, set priorities and maintain them
- Superior skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage your calendar and meet sales activity requirements, and effectively utilize our CRM tool
- A personality that is goal-motivated, persistent and optimistic
- Oral and written communication skills which are clear, concise, grammatically correct and effective
- The willingness to learn new applications and skills
SALARY LEVEL/COMPENSATION:
Total compensation for this role is a combination of base salary and commissions. Total comp range for successful candidates in this role has historically been between $80,000 - $120,000 and could increase over time given the efforts and talents of the individual.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
A summary of daily tasks will include:
- Prospecting and qualifying new customers to develop a new book of business.
- Complete out-bound and in-bound sales calls as assigned and directed, and in accordance with established activity goals, and business development goals.
- Cultivate and grow relationships with prospective customers with a focus on new business development and new accounts
- Prepare and ship samples for customer review.
- Prepare proposals utilizing company templates and following our established sales process.
- Schedule and lead sample and proposal review meetings with the support of company management and leadership.
- Ability to travel 1-2 times per year for trade shows (May/June) and other customer visits
- Development of professional and sales skills by actively participating in sales training, attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications.
POSITION TYPE:
Full Time | Office Hours: 8:30 – 5:30 pm | Hours worked will be on-site, in our office, located in Columbus, Ohio.
REQUIRED MAJOR/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree required.
3-5 years of experience in B2B business development is required.
