Job Summary:
The Business Office Assistant Clerk is responsible for assisting with the distribution and maintenance of materials, preparing for meetings to include setup, technology and equipment, refreshments and other duties upon request. The Business Office Assistant Clerk will perform assigned clerical tasks, which may include the typing of reports and forms, document imaging, answering the telephone and taking appropriate messages.
Essential Duties (May include, but not limited to):
1. Collaborates with the appropriate personnel to receive and distribute materials.
2. Inspects and ensures accuracy when receiving shipments and documents their delivery.
3. Sorts, processes and delivers incoming and outgoing first class, bulk, interoffice, and school district mail.
4. Prepares parcels for UPS pick-up.
5. Maintains an inventory and orders supplies for Business Services to support the needs of the assigned area of responsibility. Ensuring an organized storage system of available materials.
6. Prepares for meetings to include room set up, technology and equipment, refreshments and other duties upon request.
7. Performs clerical tasks, which may include typing reports and forms, document imaging, answering the telephone and taking appropriate messages.
8. Serves as a team member in maintaining work areas in the assigned area to ensure a clean and safe environment.
9. Demonstrates use and application of equipment in the assigned area (i.e. computers and login procedures and document scanning, etc.)
10. Consistently models Win-Win leadership.

Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Experience utilizing Microsoft Office software for creating visual aids, research and inventory of records.
Skills/Other:
Types 40 wpm. Ability to accept supervision and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to plan work efficiently and works well with others. Ability to utilize district technology and work to maintain proficiency, as skill sets change with technology and/or the needs of the district. Demonstrated mental/physical ability and stamina for meeting the essential duties of the position. Punctuality and good attendance are requirements for the position. Ability to work a flexible workday and workweek. Ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions in accordance with board policies and established administrative guidelines.
