Business Systems Analyst – | Api Domain | Integrations

Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with 6-7 years of experience in the API domain. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing business needs, facilitating communication between stakeholders, and driving the successful implementation of API solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Eliciting and Documenting API Requirements: Translate business objectives into clear, detailed requirements for API development, including functional and non-functional specifications.
• Facilitating Communication: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams (developers, architects) to ensure a shared understanding of API design and functionality.
• Designing and Specifying APIs: Contribute to the design of APIs, defining request/response parameters, data structures, error handling, and security considerations. Create API specifications using tools like Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Validating API Solutions: Ensure that developed APIs meet the defined business requirements and perform as expected.
• Understanding API Integration: Analyze how APIs will integrate with existing systems and third-party applications, including data mapping and potential impacts.
• Considering API as a Product: Approach API development with a product mindset, focusing on user consumption and business value.
• Ensuring Compliance: Address regulatory or industry-specific compliance requirements, especially in domains like Open Banking.

Qualifications

• Experience: 6-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on API development and integration.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in API concepts (e.g., REST, SOAP), API documentation tools and standards (e.g., OpenAPI/Swagger), and familiar with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear and actionable deliverables.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in Business Analysis or API development are a plus.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $47.00 - $56.00 per hour
