About the work environment:
Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start/end times.

About you:
You are a self-driven and detail-oriented individual who is capable of analyzing, documenting, and optimizing the business processes and requirements associated with our payments system and ledger system. You have a passion for problem solving and technical innovation. You have experience working closely with stakeholders from various departments, including technology, operations, and compliance, to successfully deliver system enhancements, new features, and regulatory changes. You have previous experience in requirements management and software development methodology and have worked extensively with business users, programmers, and Quality Assurance. About the Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration and 5+ years of technical Business Systems Analyst experience, or Master’s degree and 2 years of work-related experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Business System Analyst role with technical integrations in payments or banking.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Experience in API development.
- Computer software engineering background is considered an asset.
- Experience creating technical user-stories that align product vision, scope and requirements.
- Experience creating and maintaining comprehensive product documentation, including product operations, compliance, and product launch processes.
- Proficiency in using Jira and Confluence for managing project requirements, tasks, and documentation.
- Familiarity with payment formats and protocols such as ISO 20022, CPA, SWIFT, and other relevant standards.
- Understanding of Canadian Payments landscape, the concepts of Exchange, Clearing, and Settlements of payments.
- Understanding of relevant Payment rails including ACSS for AFT’s and Online Bill Pay, Lynx and SWIFT for Wires, Interac e-transfers, and Real-time Rails an asset.
- Familiarity with deposit products and regulatory requirements related to deposits (CDIC, FINTRAC, tax reporting, etc.) an asset.
About the day-to-day:
- Collaborate with product owner to understand high-level requirements and capture business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, document, and analyze business requirements.
- Conduct detailed business process analysis and develop comprehensive process flow diagrams, user stories, functional specification documents, and use cases to facilitate system design and development.
- Obtain key inputs from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Architects, dependent teams and identify solution interdependencies. Accordingly, conduct system mapping and data mapping.
- Develop detailed user stories and acceptance criteria in collaboration with product owner.
- Liaise between business users and technical teams, translating business needs into technical specifications.
- Utilize tools such as Jira and Confluence to manage and track project requirements, tasks, and documentation.
- Work with your Squad (developers, testers, DevOps) to refine, estimate, build, test and launch product features.
- Participates in design reviews and walk-throughs to communicate systems designs and validate proposed solutions.
- Give presentations/demonstrations of new product functionality to stakeholders and clients.
- Provide support during system implementation, including user training and post-implementation activities.
Compensation:
Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary plus a discretionary profit share opportunity. Salary for this position will vary between $90,000 and $100,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience that the chosen candidate possess.
