Butcher/ Meat Cutter

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary practices, particularly in food preparation and handling. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for processing various types of meat, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality while providing excellent customer service. This role is essential in maintaining the efficiency of our food production operations.

Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, and prepare meat products according to specifications and customer requests.
• Ensure all meat is handled and stored following food safety guidelines to prevent contamination.
• Package meat products for display or sale, ensuring proper labeling and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfill orders efficiently while adhering to quality standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions about meat products and offering recommendations.
• Monitor inventory levels of meat products and communicate needs to management as necessary.

Skills

• Proficient in using knives and other kitchen tools with precision and care.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
• Experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
• Familiarity with food production processes and techniques related to meat cutting is a plus.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
