Cad Technician/Draughtsperson - Cabinetry

Sheelan Kitchens Ltd is an established family run business operating over 35 years. Offering both homeowners & contractors with the highest quality fitted kitchens, bedrooms & custom made furniture.

We are currently seeking for an experienced Cabinetry based CAD Technician/Draughtsperson/Product Designer to join our growing team.

Role Description:

• This role is the link between the sales/design team and manufacturing. Involves creating highly detailed technical production drawings from designers, ready for interpretation by workshop, installation & purchasing teams.
• These projects are prepared through Articad & Cabinet Vision, ready for CNC Nesting.
• The role includes following projects through the different stages of manufacturing up to completion, always seeking to improve practises & standards.

Skills required

• Experience in CAD Technician/Draughtsperson/Product Designer roles
• Extensive knowledge of cabinetry, design & CAD
• CAD proficiency is a must, ideally Cabinet Vision & Articad
• CNC experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Keen eye for detail, and produce a very high standard of workmanship
• Hard working, enthusiastic and highly organised
• Carry good problem solving skills
• Carry good communication skills & have pleasant manner towards clients & colleagues
• Be punctual, presentable & reliable
• Working to schedules & providing feedback on areas for continuous improvement
