Café All-Rounder / Kitchen Hand – MAS Espresso (Brisbane CBD)

MAS Espresso is seeking a reliable, fast, and organised cafe all-rounder to join our Brisbane CBD team.

This is a service-focused, docket-based role. Food is prepared by our kitchen. On site, the role involves reheating, toasting, and plating items during service. This is not a cooking position.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparing orders from dockets (reheating, toasting, plating cabinet food)
• Serving customers at the till (strong spoken English essential)
• Managing multiple dockets during busy periods
• Maintaining cabinet presentation
• Running coffees, clearing tables, and general floor support
• Occasional light prep (Main prep kitchen opening soon and all the food preparation moving off-site)

About you:

• Fast, efficient, and well organised
• Strong multitasking ability under pressure
• Confident spoken English (customer-facing role)
• Friendly attitude and team player
• Previous cafe or kitchen hand experience highly regarded

Availability & location (important):

• Shift start time is 5:30am
• You must be able to reliably arrive in the Brisbane CBD by this time
• Please check public transport options before applying
• No staff parking available

Hours:

• Around 20 hours per week initially (mostly morning shifts)
• Opportunity to increase to up to 38 hours per week in the coming months
