Canopy Maintenance Worker

We are seeking Canopy Maintenance worker to carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of orchard fencing and canopy support structures at commercial orchard sites.

Pay rate $28 to $32 per hour

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Construct, install, maintain, and repair orchard fencing and structural supports.
• Install wooden and steel posts, strainers, and end assemblies.
• Measure, cut, tension, and fix wire, mesh, and netting.
• Install and maintain orchard canopy support systems.
• Prepare ground and pour concrete for posts and supports.
• Repair fences and related orchard structures.
• Use hand and power tools safely.
• Maintain a clean and safe worksite.
• Assist with basic irrigation maintenance where required.

Minimum Requirements

• NZQF Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in a relevant field OR
• At least 24 months of relevant fencing or rural construction experience
• Physically fit and able to perform outdoor manual work
• Able to follow instructions and work in a team
• Driver licence preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 – $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
