Captain - 30m Sy - Single Season

A 30m sailing yacht is looking for a Captain to join a well-maintained private program in the next 2 weeks in Palma to do a handover with the outgoing captain who leaves end of the month.

The yacht will spend the summer cruising the Mediterranean, with the owner onboard from the last week of July through to the end of August. Following the season, the yacht is scheduled to enter the yard for a rig pull and survey period during September and October, with Vilanova the most likely base. The yacht has undergone significant refit work over recent winters and is presented in excellent condition.

This is a single-season program running with four crew onboard, and the owners are looking for a Captain who can lead from the front while maintaining a positive and professional crew environment. Strong people management skills and the ability to foster a good onboard culture are essential.

The ideal candidate will be a Captain/Engineer, holding a minimum of AEC 2 and Yachtmaster Offshore, with previous experience as Captain. The owners are open to considering someone stepping up in yacht size, provided they have the right sailing background, technical ability and leadership skills.

This is a hands-on role requiring someone comfortable overseeing both the operational and technical aspects of the yacht. Candidates applying as part of a couple, particularly with a Chef or Deck/Engineer partner, will also be considered.

Qualifications required: YM Offshore minimum, AEC2, previous experience as captain on sailing yachts
