Responsibilities

• Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, assisting customers with their purchases and all other aspects of customer service
• Maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements
• Accurately and efficiently ring through transactions on registers. Accurately maintain all cash, credit/debit transaction at the registers, follow procedures on coupons, gift cards, etc. Strong computer skills
• Communicate customer requests to management
• Maintain orderly appearance of cash area and keep supplies stocked
• Stocking sales floor
• Facing up shelves, cleaning, dusting and organizing
• Any other tasks that are assigned from time to time by any manager or supervisors
• Ability to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed
• Resolve customer concerns in a positive helpful manner
• Welcoming customers, answering their questions, helping them locate items, and providing advice and/or recommendations
• Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales
• Processing refunds and exchanges and resolving complaints
• If applicable, processing on-line lottery sales, selling instant lottery tickets, and following all OLG rules and regulations required by law

• Distribute incoming merchandise to appropriate department

• daily walk the aisles for out of stock products, collect data

• Skills Required
• High school diploma or GED equivalent completed or in progress.
• Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Exceptional conflict resolution and objection handling skills.
• Able to work well under pressure

• Strong attention to detail

• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.

• Professional appearance and manners

• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

Work Conditions

• Manual dexterity required
• Sitting, standing, bending and walking.
• Repetitive work.
• Ability to work flexible shifts
• Lifting or moving of inventory and shelving will be required

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
