Overview
As a Customer Service Associate / Cashier, you will be the heartbeat of our retail environment, delivering exceptional service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers. Your role will involve engaging with shoppers, handling transactions, and providing product knowledge that enhances customer satisfaction. With your positive attitude and strong communication skills, you will help create an inviting atmosphere that keeps customers coming back for more!

What you’ll do

• Greet and assist customers with enthusiasm, providing top-notch customer service at all times.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately.
• Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling practices to ensure accountability.
• Demonstrate products and provide information to customers, enhancing their shopping experience through effective product demos.
• Upsell products by identifying customer needs and suggesting complementary items.
• Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and stocking shelves to create an appealing shopping environment.
• Answer phone inquiries with excellent phone etiquette, addressing customer questions and concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth operation, including supervising junior staff when necessary.

Basic qualifications

• Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanor that fosters positive interactions.
• Basic math skills to handle transactions and provide accurate change.
• Experience in cashiering or retail sales, showcasing your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred qualifications

• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enabling you to connect with a diverse customer base.
• Previous experience in grocery store settings is advantageous for understanding the industry dynamics.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts to assist in inventory management and sales tracking.
