Customer Service Associate – Bakery & Convenience Store

Reports To: Store Manager / FOH Manager
Position Type: Full-time / Part-time

Job Summary:

The Customer Service Associate plays a key role in creating a friendly, clean, and welcoming environment for our guests. This position is responsible for assisting bakery and convenience store customers, handling transactions, maintaining product displays, and ensuring the store is clean and well-stocked.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and provide prompt, friendly service
• Operate cash register and handle sales transactions accurately
• Assist bakery customers with product questions and take custom orders when applicable
• Keep coffee and fountain beverage stations clean, stocked, and presentable
• Stock shelves, coolers, and bakery displays as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of front-end, counters, floors, restrooms, and customer areas
• Answer customer questions regarding store items, promotions, and services
• Handle basic foodservice tasks like preparing baked goods or heating grab-n-go items (if applicable)
• Monitor product freshness and remove expired items
• Follow all safety, health, and sanitation guidelines
• Support team members during peak times with restocking or other tasks

Qualifications:

• Previous customer service or retail experience preferred
• Friendly attitude with a strong desire to serve customers
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours (weekends, mornings, evenings)
• Basic math skills and ability to use a POS system
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
