Cashier/Sales Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Cashier/Sales professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling transactions efficiently, and contributing to the overall sales goals of the store. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage time will be essential in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Duties

• Process customer transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and product selections.
• Engage in upselling and cross-selling techniques to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
• Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical sales support to customers as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all merchandising displays are well-stocked and appealing.
• Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling practices are followed.
• Utilize basic math skills to process payments and provide change accurately.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills, both in-person and over the phone, to address customer needs.
• Manage time efficiently during busy periods to minimize wait times for customers.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required.
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a diverse customer base. (Spanish)
• Familiarity with technology sales or technical products is beneficial for assisting customers effectively.
• Strong organizational skills are necessary for maintaining an orderly workspace and managing inventory.
