Title: Store Clerk/Cashier/Stocker

Classification:Non-Exempt Part Time

NO FELONS

Must have Valid ID/Birth Cert/SS

Reports to: Store Manager

Summary of Role:

A store clerk is responsible for providing effective customer service for all customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of store products either in person or on the phone, and communicating effectively with all other store employees. A store clerk may also be asked to assist with unpacking, marking, and stocking shelves with merchandise.

Essential Functions:

1. Basic knowledge of alcohol products
2. Capable of efficiently handling customer inquiries and complaints when necessary
3. Operating computerized point of sales system, receive payments, and give correct change, cash handling experience is required.
4. Stocking liquor store coolers and shelves- keeping store neat and tidy at all times- self starter, knowing to complete jobs without being supervised to do so.
5. Lift and carry cases of merchandise (35-60 lbs lifting is REQUIRED)
6. General cleaning of store including but not limited to: sweeping of floors, removing trash from store, cleaning store and cooler windows, etc.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand, talk, and hear for extended periods of time. This position is rather active and requires bending, crouching, kneeling, and the ability to lift and/or move up to 60lbs while standing most of required shift.

Employee must also be able to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Hours of work for this position will be set by the Store Manager. Hours will vary;

Hiring for Mid-days/eves/weekends**

Required Education and Experience:
1. Must be at least 21 years old.***
2. High school diploma of GED.

3. Cash handling and retail experience is required**
