We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent part time position as Catering Supervisor to join our busy and enthusiastic OnGroup team. This role is based at our events centre, Haere-roa, on the University of Canterbury's campus in Ilam.

As a Catering Supervisor, you will form part of the OnGroup catering and events team in delivering an excellent catering experience to clients across campus, as well as oversee and implement commercial events booked within Haere-roa.

Specific duties include:

• Front of house supervision during events
• Appropriately rostering casual catering staff on a weekly basis
• Supporting, directing and training casual catering staff
• Catering set ups and collections
• Food preparation

Hours of work

Vary depending on catering delivery and function bookings – min of 20 hours per week

Must be available to work after hours and weekends

Candidates must have:

• A full NZ drivers' licence
• Flexible availability
• The ability to work to a schedule released no less than 2 days in advance
• Attention to detail
• Relevant experience in catering and hospitality
• A friendly and approachable personality
