Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or an experienced Tax Preparer who demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a passion for helping clients achieve financial clarity and compliance.

The ideal candidate is both technically proficient and client-oriented — someone who ensures every tax return is accurate, compliant, and strategically optimized. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality tax services, managing client relationships, and supporting ongoing financial processes for individuals and small businesses.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and file accurate individual and business tax returns
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
• Conduct tax research and provide expert advice on complex issues
• Assist clients with tax planning and strategies to minimize liabilities
• Review and gather all necessary documentation for tax preparation
• Identify eligible deductions, credits, and other tax-saving opportunities
• Maintain accurate and organized client financial records
• Communicate effectively with clients to gather information and clarify questions
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain workflow efficiency
• Manage digital files, upload/download client documents securely
• Respond to IRS or state tax agency notices as needed
• Provide general accounting and bookkeeping support when required

Qualifications

✅ CPA license preferred (or currently pursuing certification)
✅ Proven experience as a Tax Preparer, CPA, or Tax Consultant
✅ Experience using tax preparation software (UltraTax preferred)
✅ Familiarity with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
✅ Strong understanding of accounting/bookkeeping procedures
✅ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
✅ High attention to detail and accuracy
✅ Ability to maintain confidentiality with financial information
✅ Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
✅ Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
✅ Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment

Base Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
