Childcare Practitioner, Early Years Educator

Koala Childcare is a family-owned and operated, early-years education and childcare provider dedicated to providing for children aged one to five. We are currently recruiting for a Childcare Practitioner, a permanent contract located at Granitefield Manor, Rochestown Avenue, Co. Dublin, for children from 1 to 5 years old.

Role Summary

  • Childcare Qualification: Must possess a minimum QQI Level 5 in Early Years Education
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team, maintaining strong communication and cooperation with colleagues within the center.
  • Adherence to Policies: Ensure all center policies and procedures are followed consistently.
  • Passion for Childcare: Demonstrate a genuine love for education and nurturing the well-being of children. Observe and record children’s progress
  • Daily Organisation: Manage and organise the daily routine of the room, ensuring a smooth and structured environment.
  • Learning Support: Facilitate and support the children’s learning process, fostering their development.
  • Parent/Guardian Communication: Maintain open and ongoing communication with parents/guardians, keeping them informed about their children’s day and fostering a close, supportive relationship.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of QQI Level 5 in Early Years Education
  • Minimum 2 year’s practical experience in a childcare setting
  • First Aid. Manual Handling certificates and Garda vetted (required)
  • Knowledge of Aistear Framework and Siolta Standards
  • Knowledge of child led/ Emergent curriculum and documentation of the curriculum
  • Ability to work in partnership with parents and staff
  • Strong communication skills with fluent in English
  • Full clean driving license with access to own transport
