Children's Athletic Program Coordinator

What is Sportball?

Sportball is a non-competitive sports instruction program that introduces children between 16 months and 12 years to fitness and the skills associated with eight different sports (soccer, hockey, football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, tennis and golf).

What are we looking for?

• You enjoy working with kids ages 16 months to 12 years
• You love sports, used to play or coach
• You have a positive attitude and enjoy seeing others learn, develop and grow
• Since we work with kids, we are looking for someone who wants to commit and build relationships long-term, ideally this person wants to keep this as a gig for the foreseeable future

What you’ll be doing as a Sportball Coach?

• Lead and facilitate Sportball programs for children, focusing on the development of fundamental movement and sports skills, coordination, and teamwork
• Deliver age and developmentally appropriate lessons using Sportball's methodology and coaching techniques
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes fun, participation, and skill development
• Teach and demonstrate sports-specific skills, such as throwing, catching, kicking, and dribbling

What to expect?

• We are looking for people who can regularly work on Saturdays and Sundays, typical day would be traveling to a programming location around 8:30am to noon, lunch break, and resume from about 1:30pm to 5/6pm
• This job is for someone who has their own transportation and can transfer equipment as needed (ie. ball bag, racquets etc)

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 12-16 per week

Salary: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
