Class 1 Truck Driver - Logging / Oilfields / Gravel

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment.

Current openings are in Fort St John hauling tank trailers.

Employee must be willing to move with the work. Accommodations will be provided for short term operations.

Bonus pay provided based on Safety, Revenue, Repair / Maintenance and Paperwork.

Duties

• Operate trucks to transport freight between locations.
• Conduct pre and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
• Load and unload cargo.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
• Perform minor automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles as needed.
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving in various weather conditions.

Experience

• Proven experience or training with steep terrain and winter condition driving.
• Experience in automotive repair is a plus, enabling the driver to perform basic maintenance on vehicles.
• Preference given to drivers with active safety certifications such as First Aid - Intermediate, H2S Alive, Fall Protection, etc.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to transportation and logistics.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 70 per week
