Class 5 Truck Driver

Full time, permanent two positions

Floating run across the country (North and South Island) as required

At least 1 Year floating experience

Staying in truck out of town

Minimum 30 hours to maximum 50 hours per week

Pay rate $30 - $35 per hour, overnight allowance + meal provided

Day and night shift – sometimes weekend as well

Full NZ Driver License Class 5, Forklift and DG (preferred)

Job description

Deliver a wide variety of freight to different customers every day

Driver vehicle on designated runs in accordance with regulations and company procedures and in a timely manner.

Load and unload vehicle with the required load for that day. Record all items loaded as per the load sheet.

Be physically fit and happy to jump out and handle freight when required

Complete delivery dockets and job sheets. Inspect vehicle for defects and safe operating condition before, during and after trips.

Ensure that all load documentation required to move with freight is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies freight when delivered.

Maintain records required for compliance with all regulations.

Have a good work ethic - show up to work on time and work hard while you are there

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week

Licence/Certification:

• Heavy Combination Driver Licence (Preferred)
