Clinic Medical Assistant Non Certified

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
- The Non-Certified Clinic Medical Assistant is responsible for providing basic nursing care to patients under the direction of the physician and/or licensed nurse. They must be able to handle emergency situations to provide optimal service to the patient, physicians, and the clinic sites. They are responsible to perform a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for patients, as directed by the physician and according to established procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional/Educational
  - Must have completed an accredited Medical Assistant program and an externship with expectation to become a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant within 6 months from hire.
  - Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  - DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
- Personal
  - Experience in Ambulatory Care Clinics
  - Computer knowledge and clerical / business office functions.
  - Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative, and teamwork.
  - Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy.
  - Possesses the ability to work under pressure.

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
