Underhill Animal Hospital is seeking a Clinical Documentation Specialist to help maintain the accuracy, organization, and consistency of patient records and clinical documentation across our practice.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with details, values accuracy, and takes pride in keeping information organized and up to date. The work behind the scenes is an important part of delivering quality care, and we're looking for someone who understands the importance of complete, well-maintained documentation in a healthcare environment.
You'll work closely with administrative and clinical teams to support documentation workflows, record management, and information accuracy while helping ensure that records remain organized and accessible.
What You'll Do
- Review, update, and maintain patient documentation within internal systems
- Help ensure records are complete, organized, and accurately documented
- Support documentation-related workflows and administrative processes across the practice
- Assist with record tracking, information verification, and routine documentation reviews
- Coordinate with team members when additional information or documentation updates are needed
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy while handling sensitive information
- Help identify opportunities to improve documentation consistency and workflow efficiency
- Support day-to-day administrative activities related to record management and clinical documentation
What We're Looking For
- Experience in documentation support, healthcare administration, medical records, veterinary administration, data management, or related administrative roles
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong written communication skills
- Comfort learning and working within digital record systems and administrative platforms
- Previous experience in a healthcare, veterinary, medical office, or clinical environment is highly valued
