Title of Job/Grade: Clinical Nurse Manager CNM2 HDU
Reports to: Director of Nursing
Reporting relationships: CNM 1, Staff Nurse, HCA, Support Workers
Type of Contract: Permanent – Full Time
Applications are invited for the above position of Clinical Nurse Manager 2 HDU. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and enjoy the challenges of working in a dynamic team environment and possess the following skills at a minimum:
Essential Qualifications
- Registered with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) or eligible to register with NMBI
Essential Experience
- 3-5 years post registration experience in an acute hospital setting
- Post Graduate Diploma in Critical Care
- Minimum of 2 years management experience at CNM1
- Completed a Management Programme or Commitment to undertake a relevant Management Qualification following appointment
Desirable Experience
- MSc in Nursing/Management/Leadership
Essential Competencies
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proven ability in the areas of people management, resource management, conflict resolution, problem solving, decision making, change & innovation, organisational knowledge and operational planning
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and IT skills essential
- Experience of personal & professional development
- Knowledge of Quality, & safety management, Patient Safety & Risk management
