Cnc Machine Operator (2nd Shift)

Job Title: CNC Machine Operator (2nd Shift)
Pay Rate: $35 to $41/HR
Duration: 12 months
Location: Beltsville, MD (Onsite)

Shift: 2 pm to 11 pm (Starting on day shift and moving to second shift after training)

We are looking for a CNC Machine Operator (2nd Shift) to support our position at our Beltsville, MD facility. The position is for 2ND shift. The candidate will set up and operate a variety of machines such as lathes, mills, manual shapers, planers, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions.

• Machine set-up
• Interpret Blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
• Determine the sequence of operations, the number of cuts required, and the method of set-up.
• Use a variety of machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
• Fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines the material, parts, and equipment required.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience operating CNC machines in an industrial manufacturing setting
• Strong understanding of machining techniques and materials
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $41.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
