Commercial Litigation Paralegal

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of commercial-litigation and debtor- creditor law. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and proficiency in legal research and documentation. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys throughout the litigation process.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions by organizing case files and evidence.
  • Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies.
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and contracts while ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Maintain organized records of case progress through effective filing and data entry practices.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information pertinent to cases.
  • Provide executive administrative support to attorneys as needed, including transcription of legal documents and proofreading.

Skills

  • Proven paralegal experience with a strong understanding of litigation processes.
  • Proficient in legal administrative tasks including document review, legal drafting, clerical duties, filing, and phone etiquette.
  • Strong project management abilities with excellent organizational skills to effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Experience with legal case management software and document management systems is essential.
  • Exceptional writing skills for drafting correspondence and legal documents with attention to detail.
