Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of commercial-litigation and debtor- creditor law. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and proficiency in legal research and documentation. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys throughout the litigation process.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions by organizing case files and evidence.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and contracts while ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Maintain organized records of case progress through effective filing and data entry practices.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information pertinent to cases.
- Provide executive administrative support to attorneys as needed, including transcription of legal documents and proofreading.
Skills
- Proven paralegal experience with a strong understanding of litigation processes.
- Proficient in legal administrative tasks including document review, legal drafting, clerical duties, filing, and phone etiquette.
- Strong project management abilities with excellent organizational skills to effectively prioritize tasks.
- Experience with legal case management software and document management systems is essential.
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting correspondence and legal documents with attention to detail.
