Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and creative Summer Intern to join our Communications and Information Technology teams. This unique cross-functional internship offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of branding, user experience, and technology. The intern will support efforts to align internal and external application interfaces with the company’s brand standards, enhance communication effectiveness within digital platforms, and contribute to a more cohesive and engaging user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Communications and IT teams to ensure consistent branding across internal and customer-facing applications.
- Assist in auditing current applications for brand alignment (logos, color schemes, typography, messaging tone, etc.).
- Participate in the development of communication templates and visual assets for use within applications (e.g., dashboards, alerts, training modules).
- Support updates to intranet content and digital signage systems with branded messaging.
- Help document branding guidelines for use by IT developers and UX/UI teams.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute creative ideas to enhance digital communication strategies.
- Provide support in testing and user feedback collection for interface improvements.
- Collaborate and help draft knowledge documents with our Microsoft Sharepoint Administrator to help IT and the business learn more about our enterprise Sharepoint application.
- Assist Microsoft Sharepoint Administrator with project tasks and documentation to better secure our Microsoft Sharepoint Environments
- Support and help update the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong interest in branding, digital communication, and user experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications. Design tools are a plus.
- Basic understanding of digital platforms and/or web applications is helpful.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
