Home Care Worker - Permanent Part Time - Greek Speaker

Working with our amazing St Basil’s team you will provide essential support to our clients in their homes where you will assist with a variety of daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship. Your caring heart and helping hands will enable our clients to live comfortably in their own homes.

 Your duties will include (but not limited to):
Assisting in the provision of individualised care to your clients
Helping your clients with activities of daily living according to their care plans, including personal care, domestic assistance, and social support
Accompanying your clients for community access, including grocery shopping, social activities, and appointments
Ensuring privacy, confidentiality, and dignity for all your clients
Responding to emergency situations using first aid as required
Maintaining accurate records of care to your clients
Reporting any incidents or hazards that impact your clients

About you:
You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents, to support them to facilitate independent living, health and happiness.

To succeed in this role, you will have:
A Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care
You will be pro-active and creative in your approach, considering our clients and their needs Compassion, empathy, and a passion for helping others
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Availability Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm
Greek speaking is essential
