Companion/Caregiver

Overview
Person Centered Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Companion/Caregiver to provide essential support and companionship to an adult male in need of assistance. The Companion/Caregiver role is vital in enhancing quality of life for individuals with Developemental Disabilities, ensuring they feel valued and cared for in their daily activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing personalized care, fostering independence, and promoting dignity for those they serve.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities, including apartment upkeep, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
• Provide companionship and encouragement while engaging clients in social activities to enhance their emotional well-being.
• Report any changes in health and wellbeing.
• Implement care plans tailored to the individual's needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with Person Centered Care Partners/supervisor, family members, other staff to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
• Document daily activities and any significant changes in condition or behavior.

Experience and Requirements

• Previous experience working with individuals with Developemental Disabilities is preferred.
• Familiarity with care plans is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• A background in social work or similar will be considered a plus.
• Ability to pass Background Checks
• Driver's license, excellent driving record, and own reliable vehicle
• CPR, First Aid Cert

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
