Concierge/Security Guard

We are seeking a reliable and professional part-time Security Guard / Concierge to manage the front desk and ensure the safety and security of premises. This role involves monitoring access to the building, assisting visitors, and providing a welcoming, secure environment for residents and guests.

This role offers growth opportunities, including full-time employment, on-the-job training, and potential advancement to a supervisor position based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist residents, visitors, and clients in a courteous and professional manner.
• Monitor building entrances and exits to prevent unauthorized access.
• Maintain visitor logs.
• Perform regular security patrols and inspections of the premises.
• Monitor surveillance systems (CCTV), alarms, and other security equipment.
• Respond to emergencies, alarms, and incidents calmly and effectively.
• Enforce building rules, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Provide reports on daily activities, incidents, and irregularities.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency services, and management as needed.
• Handle incoming calls, mail, and deliveries at the front desk.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid security license/guard card.
• Previous experience in security, customer service, or front desk roles preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with security systems or reporting tools.
• Availability for weekends night position.
• Be able to commit for long-term.

Work Environment:

• This position operates in a professional office environment.
• The job requires to be seated at the front desk.
• Outdoor patrols required.
• Require use of communication equipment (e.g., radio, phone).

Physical requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
