Construction Estimator/Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Shell Construction Estimator to join our estimating team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing project plans and specifications to prepare detailed, accurate, and competitive cost estimates for shell construction scopes. This role plays a critical part in our preconstruction efforts and contributes directly to our success in securing new work.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Analysis: Review architectural drawings, structural plans, and project specifications to understand project requirements.
• Takeoffs: Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for concrete, block, slab, framing, rebar, and other shell components.
• Cost Estimation: Develop comprehensive cost estimates for shell packages including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and contingencies.
• Bid Preparation: Prepare and submit bids and proposals in alignment with client expectations and deadlines.
• Value Engineering: Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to clarify scope and ensure alignment on pricing.
• Market Research: Stay up to date with market pricing, industry standards, and construction trends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a construction estimator, with emphasis on shell construction.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, building codes, and industry practices related to concrete and structural work.
• Experience with estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Sage Estimating, or similar).
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred but not required.

Pay: $70,805.75 - $156,228.44 per year
