About the Role

Irish Building Supply is a long-established, family-run business operating across construction and building supplies. We are currently seeking a Construction General Operative to join a busy construction project in Dún Laoghaire.

This role is suited to someone with site experience who is practical, safety-focused, and reliable. Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential for this position.

The Role

Duties will include:

• General construction general operative duties
• Supporting groundworks and demolition crews
• Mixing mortar and carrying out sundry site works
• Site clearance and maintaining a clean, safe working environment
• Acting as a banksman and assisting with traffic management
• Managing and controlling deliveries to site
• Working under the direction of site management

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year’s experience as a Construction General Operative
• Valid Safe Pass – essential
• Manual Handling certificate – preferred
• Banksman and traffic management experience – preferred
• Additional tickets (forklift, telehandler, etc.) are an advantage
• Excellent timekeeping and attendance are essential
• Reliability and the ability to be depended on day-to-day is critical
• Good awareness of health & safety and site procedures
• Ability to work well as part of a site team
