Construction Project Manager - Federal Projects

EnviroVantage is looking for Project Managers.

Essential Functions:

  • Take ownership of a project upon award and see through to completion
  • Establish project objectives, milestones, budgets, and project schedules
  • Procure supplies and materials to complete a project buy-out
  • Oversee and provide guidance to Foremen/Superintendents to plan, organize and direct activities related to schedule, labor, equipment, materials and disposal on their jobs
  • Monitor production and project costs to ensure each job is completed on schedule
  • Review and sign off on daily manpower and progress reports for their jobs
  • Continually update a 3-week look ahead for all projects
  • Interact with the customer on a regular basis and be the lead on negotiation for any scope discrepancy or issues on the job site
  • Proactively develop relationships with subcontractors
  • Oversee all change order requests and submit in conjunction w/ estimating and finance
  • Responsible to ensure project close out package is completed, and job can be billed in full

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years working as a Project Manager in the construction and/or environmental remediation fields
  • Experience managing federal government contracts preferred
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
  • Must be able to pass a federal government background screen

Certifications:

  • OSHA 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training. If not current, willing to get certificate within 30 days of hire
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Training. If not current, willing to get certificate within 30 days of hire

Working Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Ability to coordinate your actions with those of other workers on busy construction sites
  • Ability to complete work projects on time and in an effective manner; regular and prompt attendance are an essential job function
  • Ability to pick up construction debris and able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally and occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods with occasional standing and walking.
