Key responsibilities
As a Container Operations Executive, you will be responsible for overseeing equipment operations across the Philippines, ensuring optimal container availability and quality to support import/export demands. You’ll play a key role in maintaining high service delivery standards, coordinating with vendors, and driving operational improvements in equipment flow and maintenance & repair (EMR).
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure complete equipment stock availability across the country, with a focus on optimizing container turn-time, reducing idle equipment, and leveraging flow area synergies.
- Monitor and manage longstanding empty containers in accordance with aged cargo procedures, including annual container verification requirements.
- Ensure compliance with vendor service delivery standards and performance KPIs.
- Collaborate with EMR GSC, Regional Equipment Flow, and Vendor Performance teams to support the implementation of EMR and EQU-related projects.
- Participate in vendor audits and evaluate repair quality and supplier performance, including both pre-audits of repair estimates and post-audits of completed work.
- Contribute to regular performance reviews by collecting and analyzing cost data within the EQU and EMR scope, aiming to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve key operational metrics such as quality and turn-times.
- Serve as the main point of contact for terminals, depots, repair shops, and vendors managing empty containers.
- Guide and support local operational teams (Customer Experience) to enhance the execution of equipment-related processes and best practices.
- Oversee and manage processes to ensure sufficient and appropriate equipment stock levels at all depots across the country or cluster.
- Support equipment flow and steering strategies to prevent stock imbalances, including out-of-stock and overstock situations.
We’re looking for
- At least 2 years of experience in equipment flow or container maintenance & repair within the shipping industry.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, especially across multiple port locations.
- Willingness to travel domestically as needed.
- A proactive, results-driven professional who thrives in fast-paced environments.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on process optimization and operational excellence.
- Ability to work independently at repair sites and driving vendor compliance.
- IICL certification is a plus.
