Cook Needed In Chinese Restaurant

YW Gourmet Food Ltd T/A Yue’s Dumpling Kitchen provides top-class dumpling and other Chinese dishes in North Shore Auckland. We now need two Cooks to help us to provide top-quality food. This is a full-time job with guaranteed hours of 30 hours per week.

The job involves the following tasks and duties:

• Preparing and cooking all the dishes offered by the restaurant

• Seasoning food during preparation and cooking, when necessary

• Monitoring the quality of food at all stages of preparation, cooking and presentation

• Store unused food and material in proper way

• Assisting in improving dishes

• Assisting in managing the overall operation of kitchen

• Assisting in ordering supplies and stocks

• Ensuring kitchen’s operation complies with hygiene and safety regulations.

To qualify for the job, you should have at least level 4 cookery qualification, or at least two-year experience cooking Chinese cuisine, you should have can-do attitude and be able to work under pressure since our restaurant is extremely busy during peak hours. You should also have good interpersonal skills in order to coordinate duties in the kitchen.
