Lead two of the City’s most iconic community spaces in a unique 6-month opportunity.
As Coordinator Library and Town Hall, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the City of Perth Library and Perth Town Hall, two key community and cultural facilities within the City.
This is a 6-month opportunity to work with a committed team to maintain and enhance inclusive, welcoming spaces that support community access, learning, and participation in city life.
You will work collaboratively with the Alliance Manager, team members, and stakeholders to ensure the Library and Town Hall operate effectively as community hubs, while supporting service delivery, continuous improvement, strategic priorities, and budget management.
Reporting to the Alliance Manager Arts and Culture, you will:
- Lead contemporary library services and engaging programs and events that respond to community needs
- Drive service excellence across operations, collections, projects, and budgets, with a focus on continuous improvement
- Lead, coach, and develop a diverse team to achieve high performance and strong collaboration
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure safe operations and activate vibrant, inclusive community spaces
About You
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- Relevant qualifications and experience leading library services and medium-sized teams
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse, creative teams
- Excellent planning and problem-solving ability, with experience delivering innovative programs and services
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including reporting and budget experience
