Counter Service Cashier / Barista / Takeout

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and be comfortable handling transactions accurately and efficiently.

Duties:
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions with customers
- Scan goods and collect payments
- Issue receipts, refunds, change, or tickets
- Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
- Maintain a clean and tidy checkout area
- Keep reports of transactions

Skills:
- Experience in a retail or grocery store setting is preferred
- Proficiency in POS systems, including Aloha POS, is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle peak hours effectively
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and providing change
- Excellent sales skills to promote products or services
- Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly

Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with food service industry practices
- Prior experience in cash handling roles
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective customer interactions
