Courier/Delivery Driver - Car Licence Required (Multi Drop)

We are a Toowoomba based transport and logistics company looking for motivated and well organised individuals to fill Courier Driver roles. This could be a great opportunity for someone who has an excellent work ethic and is looking for establish themselves into a busy workplace.
This is a busy and very active role, delivering to both commercial and residential addresses. We service an extensive region
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow all safety procedures, including conducting pre-start checks of your vehicle.
- Be willing to learn and use Chain of Responsibility training
- Sort freight with the courier team, then load your vehicle and start your delivery run
- Deliver freight of varying size and weight to both private address and business customers.
- Use each company's scanner or your mobile phone (special app) to deliver each consignment and gain the required signature, ID info and photos to complete each delivery.
- Keep your work vehicle clean and tidy inside. Wipes are provided for you to do this.
- Keep your work vehicle clean on the outside
- Complete all necessary paperwork including PODs, resigns and your daily timesheet.
- Strive to meet KPIs, expectations and goals in a safe manner
- Communicate with the admin team as required, responding to any queries they have
- Communicate with your team leader and the operations team
THE ROLE
- Must be available to work Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday morning
- Work well within the team and individually
- Be recognised for your hard work with easy to achieve expectations and goals
- Be reliable and committed to the role
- Follow the processes and procedures in place to ensure each consignment is delivered within its required DIFOT/time window and via the correct delivery process
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Current Australian Driver's Licence, with a good driving history - ability to provide a current police check and current driving history report from TMR (must be less than 1 month old)
- Be capable of lifting up to 30kgs and have a reasonable fitness level to perform a busy role
- Excellent customer service skills and a strong attention to detail. Reasonable literacy and numeracy skills also required
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to talk, write and understand English when interacting with other people, including customers, carriers and other staff members
- Ability to load freight by areas, use handheld scanners and complete manual PODs
- Ability to conduct daily Pre-Start vehicle checks
- Excellent work ethic with a "can do" attitude and approach.
- Applicants must be capable of working on their own AND working with the team to get the job done.
- This position requires a team player who is willing to help out their work mate if needed and some runs are fluid depending on freight volumes and peak volumes
- Ability to use physical maps plus GPS directions to find correct delivery addresses but also able to retain information about run areas to find the best route. Some areas require local knowledge and the ability to not just follow GPS directions and end up on 4WD tracks!

Pay: $26.00 – $33.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 50 per week

- This role requires use of scanners and mobile phone apps to facilitate deliveries and pick ups. Training and education is provided and all staff have access to both a Driver Manual (contains detailed step by step instructions) and senior staff members, if needed.
