Overview
This role is PRN. Some week days shifts are available; however, the employee must be willing to work weekends and assist on nights if needed.

Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans and other diagnostic imaging procedures with precision and care.
- Collaborate with physicians to determine the appropriate imaging techniques based on patient needs.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology and anatomy to ensure accurate imaging results.
- Implement aseptic techniques to uphold safety standards during procedures.
- Assist in the operation of advanced imaging equipment, including PET scans, DEXA scans, and mammography machines.
- Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout the process.
- Document all imaging results accurately and communicate findings to the healthcare team promptly.
- Stay current with advancements in diagnostic radiology and participate in ongoing education opportunities.
Requirements
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) with additional training in CT or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine, sonography, and emergency room practices is preferred.
- Experience working in a Level I or Level II trauma center is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in medical imaging technologies, including X-ray and CT modalities.
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes and emergency medicine protocols.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
