Ct/ Radiology Technician - Prn Role

This role is PRN. Some week days shifts are available; however, the employee must be willing to work weekends and assist on nights if needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans and other diagnostic imaging procedures with precision and care.
• Collaborate with physicians to determine the appropriate imaging techniques based on patient needs.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology and anatomy to ensure accurate imaging results.
• Implement aseptic techniques to uphold safety standards during procedures.
• Assist in the operation of advanced imaging equipment, including PET scans, DEXA scans, and mammography machines.
• Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout the process.
• Document all imaging results accurately and communicate findings to the healthcare team promptly.
• Stay current with advancements in diagnostic radiology and participate in ongoing education opportunities.

Requirements

• Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) with additional training in CT or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine, sonography, and emergency room practices is preferred.
• Experience working in a Level I or Level II trauma center is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in medical imaging technologies, including X-ray and CT modalities.
• Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes and emergency medicine protocols.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
