About the role

Are you passionate about creative spaces and cultural infrastructure? We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Cultural Projects Coordinator to help deliver and manage programs that support artists, creative workers, and cultural organisations across our vibrant city.



In this dynamic role, you’ll help bring the City’s Cultural Strategy 2025–2035 to life by leading initiatives that support a thriving arts and culture scene, expanding access to affordable creative spaces and promoting long-term cultural sustainability.


What you’ll do:

  • lead and manage projects that expand and support Sydney’s cultural infrastructure
  • collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver creative space programs
  • develop content for EOIs, leases, grants, contracts and related documentation
  • assess funding applications and manage relationships with cultural tenants
  • drive strategic outcomes that increase inclusion, participation and sector resilience.

We're looking for someone with:

  • experience working with artists, cultural organisations or creative workers in Sydney
  • tertiary qualifications in arts, creative industries or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering cultural initiatives
  • ability to manage multiple priorities with maturity, discretion, and sound judgement
  • proven stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills across diverse groups
  • understanding of cultural space management in a government or complex environment.

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
