Customer Service Representative (Bilingual)

Position Summary:

Families and providers requesting assistance require time sensitive actions from strong, compassionate individuals who are dedicated to assisting them and promoting their self-sufficiency. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about using their skills for social good, who thrives in a collaborative environment, and can manage limited resources creatively and effectively.

We are seeking someone who is organized, possesses excellent computer and typing skills, is willing to learn and can engage with the public in a professional manner. The work performed includes processing a broad range of customer service activities on the phone and over email and entering information into a computer-based system.

Responsibilities:
· Quickly gaining an understanding of AAA's multiple scholarship application and award processes

· Answering inbound calls and emails regarding the scholarship application process, the scholarship award process, scholarship disbursements and other scholarship-related questions

· Making outbound calls and emails to scholarship applicants and/or scholarship school administrators to inform them of the scholarship application process, the scholarship award process, scholarship disbursements and other scholarship-related matters

· Communicating accurately, effectively and with timeliness to supervisors, team members, scholarship applicants, scholarship recipients, school administrators and other stakeholders

· Meeting set goals for the above responsibilities

· Maintaining customer confidence and protecting operations by keeping information confidential

Requirements:

· Bilingual - Fluent Spanish and English

· Committed to the mission of serving economically disadvantaged families and families of children with disabilities

· Two to five years of successful customer service experience in a professional setting

· Ability to quickly learn complicated processes and communicate them to others verbally and in-writing

· Clear, strong and friendly-sounding speaking voice

· Possess strong interpersonal skills to be able to effectively communicate with applicants, schools, coworkers and the general public

· Highly organized, analytical, IT-competent – proficient in Microsoft Office programs

· High regard for quality and accuracy, attention to details

· Ability to perform several tasks concurrently, time management and organizational skills

· Ability to maintain confidential information

· Ability to organize and maintain detailed records; complete necessary paperwork and meet deadlines

· Ability to pass a Level 2 background screening
. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
. Strong problem-solving abilities
. Ability to analyze customer needs and provide effective solutions
. Proficient in using computer systems and software applications
. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
. Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
