What will you bring as an Independent Cook I?

• You carry out preparatory tasks, including washing vegetables, slicing and filleting salmon, and cutting lamb chops and beef for the preparation of stone plate dishes. You will work together with a kitchen team of approximately eight colleagues under the supervision of the Head Chef.
• You prepare and cook a variety of dishes, performing intermediate quality and hygiene checks in accordance with applicable regulations.
• You prepare dishes for service and carry out a final quality check before they are delivered by service staff (or robots).
• You plan daily kitchen operations and place orders for food products and other stock replenishments with regular suppliers. You also check delivered products for quality and quantity.
• You supervise kitchen assistants, provide instructions, and make adjustments where necessary.
• Before closing time, you ensure a clean workstation, clean kitchen equipment and machines, and assist where needed with cleaning the entire kitchen and storing delivered goods.
• You are a true team player, flexible in your approach, and have strong communication skills.
• You actively contribute to improving quality, think along about optimizations, and assist in compiling and adjusting menus, recipes, and preparation guidelines.
• Job requirements: You have completed an MBO level 3 education (or equivalent), with demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques.

What do we offer?

• A gross monthly salary between €2,500 – €3,000, based on a 38-hour workweek, in accordance with the Dutch Hospitality CAO, including 25 vacation days and 8% holiday allowance
