We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Center Cabling Technician to join our dynamic team. Duties

• Install, terminate, and test fiber optic and Ethernet cabling in data center environments using hand tools and specialized equipment
• Perform fiber splicing to connect and repair fiber optic cables with precision and care
• Set up and configure network hardware including Cisco routers, switches, and telecommunication equipment
• Conduct cable management, labeling, routing, and organization to ensure efficient airflow and accessibility
• Troubleshoot low voltage electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose issues accurately
• Assist with the installation of telephony systems and other computer networking components
• Conduct field service tasks including site assessments, system upgrades, and routine maintenance to ensure optimal operation

Skills

• Proven experience with fiber splicing techniques and network installation procedures
• Strong knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, and general computer networking principles
• Familiarity with telecommunication systems, Ethernet cabling standards, and low voltage electrical work
• Mechanical aptitude for working with hand tools such as crimpers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, and cable pullers
• Previous service technician experience in data centers or telecommunication environments preferred
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics accurately
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety protocols and quality standards

Pay: $25.00 - $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
