Overview:
Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Analyst is responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of Patelco’s data by implementing and managing data loss prevention strategies, standards, SOPs, and technologies. The role will analyze data flows, monitor network activities, and identify potential vulnerabilities and risks to sensitive information. The DLP Analyst develops and enforces technical policies and procedures, conducts regular audits and assessments, and collaborates with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with data protection regulations and overall data security. The Analyst also provides training and support to employees on data protection best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements data loss prevention technical policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Configures and manages DLP tools and technologies to monitor and protect sensitive data.
- Continuously monitors data loss prevention systems for potential data breaches or policy violations.
- Analyzes DLP alerts and incidents to determine the severity and impact on the organization.
- Investigate and respond to DLP incidents, including identifying the source and extent of data exposure.
- Collaborates with the incident response team to mitigate and resolve data loss incidents.
- Works with stakeholders to develop and enforce data protection policies and standards.
- Maintains detailed records of DLP incidents, actions taken, and outcomes.
- Prepares regular reports on DLP activities, trends, and metrics for management.
- Implements and maintains DLP technology solutions across servers, endpoints, and cloud environments.
- Configures and deploys DLP infrastructure and endpoint agent software.
- Stays up-to-date with the latest DLP technologies, trends, and best practices.
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance the organization’s data protection capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of Cyber Security experience.
- Proficiency with DLP tools and technologies.
- Strong understanding of data protection principles and practices.
- Familiarity with network security, encryption, and data classification.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- This position is based our of the Dublin HQ Office.
$115,763.35 - $141,603 / per year
