Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The Lead Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment while guiding assistant teachers and supporting each child’s individual growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with early learning standards
• Create a nurturing, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
• Observe, document, and assess children’s development and learning progress
• Maintain daily communication with families and build strong relationships
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom staff
• Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and school policies
• Promote positive behavior guidance and social-emotional development
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom

Qualifications

• CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred)
• Minimum of 1–2 years experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
• Previous Lead Teacher experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of child development, classroom management, and early learning standards
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must pass background checks and meet state licensing requirements

Compensation

• Hourly Pay Range: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour, based on education, experience, and credentials
