Portofino Bakery was founded over 20 years ago in Victoria, BC, with the mission to provide better artisan bread to the local community in Victoria. Today, we have over 200 team members, 3 facilities and are continuing our mission to enrich the lives of our customers with every baked good.

The Bread and Butter of the Position

As a Delivery & Merchandising Team Member, you’ll play a key role in getting our fresh, artisanal bread into the hands of our customers while supporting smooth warehouse operations. This is a blended role where you’ll spend time delivering product with care and professionalism and time in the warehouse supporting inventory, packaging, and organization.

In this role, you will:

• Load, unload, and deliver product to customers across the region, ensuring safe and timely deliveries.
• Merchandise and rotate product on store shelves, representing Portofino Bakery with pride and excellent customer service.
• Package, case, and label product according to company standards.
• Maintain warehouse organization, including product placement, rotation (FIFO), and order accuracy.
• Assist with inventory control, administrative tasks, and receiving.
• Operate warehouse machinery safely and responsibly (training provided).
• Complete delivery and warehouse documentation including stock counts, returns, and credits.
• Follow Portofino’s Good Manufacturing Practices, hygiene, and quality standards at all times.
• Other related duties as assigned

The Ingredients You Bring to the Table

• Previous delivery or warehouse experience is an asset, however, not mandatory (bonus points for commercial driving experience).
• A valid Class 5 driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract (no major infractions in the past 5 years).
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods.
• Time management and attention to detail, with an eye for merchandising.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and Overtime when required.
• Commitment to quality, reliability, and teamwork.
• Willingness to learn, grow, and take pride in your work.

The Details You’ll Loave:

• Starting hourly wage: $22.00 - $24.00 (based on experience)
