Dental Patient Care Coordinator/ Receptionist

We are a busy, well-established practice in Etobicoke that offers the community a wide range of services.

We have expanded into a larger space and are ready to add to our stellar team by hiring another Patient Care Coordinator.

Job description:

  • Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff at the front desk
  • Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar
  • Answer phone calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries
  • Manage and maintain electronic medical records and ensure confidentiality of patient information
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and others
  • Complete billing and insurance claims processing
  • Send pre determinations and audit coverage for upcoming scheduled appointments
  • Order and maintain office supplies and equipment
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and email correspondence
  • Perform a variety of other administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the office

Requirements:

  • At least two years current experience in a dental office as an administrator in Ontario
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiastic, outgoing, positive personality
  • Must possess strong computer/keyboarding abilities
  • Abeldent software experience and assisting experience an asset
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a paperless setting

Education:

  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

  • Dental receptionist: 2 years (preferred)
